Malauna Steele created Oversight Management, a woman- and Black-owned firm, offering accounting, administrative and capacity-building support to small and mid-size nonprofits serving Black and brown communities. She grew Oversight Management to help under-resourced organizations build sound financial systems and the operational strength they need to serve their communities and advance their missions.
Jesse Raney Bridges
Jesse Raney Bridges is a systems strategist and executive advisor specializing in workforce development, community infrastructure and strategic partnership development. With over 20 years of leadership across philanthropy, higher education and mission-driven companies, she helps organizations translate ambitious social impact goals into operationally credible initiatives. Her work focuses on designing coalition-based platforms that align capital, talent development and community partnerships to advance sustainable outcomes.
Jesse previously served as Deputy Director of Learning and Development at the Gates Foundation, SVP at EVERFI and Senior Director of Organizational Culture at EAB. She is the Founder of Good Measure, an emerging Civic ERP platform designed to coordinate opportunity ecosystems and expand access to workforce pathways and civic innovation.
Reginald M. Grant
Reginald M. Grant is a nonprofit governance and organizational strategy expert who specializes in helping community-based nonprofits build stronger, more effective boards and organizations. A former nonprofit Chief Operating Officer and founder of The Grant Advisory Group, Reginald brings extensive experience navigating the critical relationships among boards, CEOs, staff, strategy, fundraising and organizational performance. His work helps nonprofit leaders strengthen the partnership between boards and CEOs, clarify governance and management roles, recruit and develop effective board members, establish meaningful accountability and engage boards as active partners in strategy, fundraising and organizational growth.
Reginald understands the unique realities of community-based nonprofits, where limited resources, increasing community needs, fundraising expectations and organizational capacity require boards and executive leaders to work together effectively. He combines hands-on executive and governance experience with formal nonprofit education, holding a degree in Nonprofit Management from Southeastern University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. His approach is practical and results-focused, helping organizations move beyond simply having a board to building a governing body that contributes meaningfully to mission, sustainability and long-term organizational success.

Is the fee per person or per organization?
Per organization. One registration covers both Saturdays and includes up to two people from your team. Additional seats are $49 each.
What if we can't attend live?
Register anyway. We'll share the workbook and session materials with your whole team, so you still walk away with the tools — live attendance is best for the interactive Q&A, but it's not required to benefit from the intensive.
Do board members and staff both benefit?
Yes — that's the point. The weekend is built so staff and board leave speaking the same language about money, governance and giving.
What's your refund policy?
Full refund up to 14 days before the event, no questions asked. After that we're happy to transfer your registration to a future session.
We're a brand-new nonprofit. Is this too advanced?
Not at all. We start with fundamentals and build up, so founders and emerging organizations get just as much value as established teams.
Can you invoice us instead of taking a card?
